Canoo is Silver Sponsor of GR8Conf Europe 2017

GR8Conf is an independent, affordable series of conferences in Denmark, United States and India. It’s dedicated to the technologies in the Groovy ecosystem. The European edition is taking place from May 31 – June 2nd, 2017 in Copenhagen, Denmark. Canoo is proud to be Silver Sponsor.

Canoo as a company has been involved with the development of the Groovy language and its ecosystem for more than 10 years. Groovy has been used across many projects and tools inside the company, delivering success stories with our customers whether its desktop, web, or server side programming. Thus, we are happy to contribute the following talks:

Making the Most of Your Gradle Build (June 1st, AUD-1)
Gradle can do awesome things by itself, but you get more bang when you combine your build with plugins. This presentation shows how you can keep dependencies up to date; obtain a license report for all dependencies, useful for licensing compliance; keep license headers up to date; generate aggregate coverage reports; create binary compatibility reports; write documentation that can access production code; and publish documentation to Github. Come discover how to make the most of your Gradle build with less effort.

Hackergarten on Tour (May 31st)
Hackergarten is a craftmen's workshop, classroom, a laboratory, a social circle, a playground, and an artist's studio. Our goal is to create something that others can use; whether it be working software, improved documentation, or better educational materials. Our intent is end the evening with a patch or similar contribution submitted to an open and public project. Everyone can join, you do not have to attend GR8Conf! What to Expect - You'll meet some gr8 people, write some gr8 code, and contribute directly to the Groovy community. Expect to leave Hackergarten knowing a Groovy framework or project a lot better, knowing how to create and submit a patch to an open source project, and meeting some new friends. There is no better way to learn about the GR8 technologies than to spend a few hours coding side by side with the project leaders and members What to Bring: Yourself, perhaps your laptop. Expect to pair program. If you don't have a laptop then someone else will.
