UltraLightClient

The following license types are available:

  • Developer License
    Each developer using ULC on the class path requires a ULC developer license. The ULC developer license allows for the development of ULC applications using the public API. The ULC frameworks (server- and client-side) may also be customized by means of the public API. ULC developer licenses may not be sublicensed.

    A developer license costs 1'299 Euro per developer seat.

    Upgrades
    Upgrades are free within 3 months after purchase. We recommend purchasing Support to receive all upgrades within a year.
    For customers that purchased ULC over 3 months ago and have not purchased Support for their ULC licenses, Canoo offers an upgrade from version 6.1 to 6.2 for 799 Euro. To purchase the upgrade, please contact Canoo directly.
     
  • Educational License
    The educational license is available for educational institutions only and it limits the development and deployment of ULC applications to the institution's site. The educational license is feature equivalent to the commercial developer license.

  • Evaluation License
    For evaluation purposes a developer license valid for a limited time is available. It is equivalent to the commercial development license but does not include the EJB container adapter. The evaluation license is limited to 5 concurrent connections per Web container context. Sublicensing or commercial deployment of any code that has been developed using the evaluation license is not permitted.

  • Source Code License
    Prices for source code licenses are available on request.

ULC Visual Editor

The following license types are available:

  • Developer License
    Each developer using ULC Visual Editor requires a license.

    A license costs Euro 499 per developer seat.

    For customers that purchased ULC Visual Editor over 3 months ago and have not purchased Support for their ULC Visual Editor licenses, Canoo offers an upgrade for 399 Euro. To purchase the upgrade, please contact Canoo directly.
  • Evaluation License
    For evaluation purposes, an evaluation key, valid for 15 days, is available. The number of widgets per visual class file is limited to 15, the number of files editable is limited to 1.

ULC Mobile

The following license types are available:

  • Developer License
    Each developer using ULC Mobile on the class path requires a ULC Mobile developer license.

ULC Load and ULC Load Enterprise

For each installation of ULC Load and ULC Load Enterprise, a license key is required. ULC Load or ULC Load Enterprise may not be modified or sublicensed.

  • Developer License for ULC Load
    ULC Load is limited to one instance on one machine per developer key.

    A single license costs 3'999 Euro.

    There are no restrictions regarding the number of instances, machines or concurrent connections.

Upgrades for ULC Load
Upgrades are free within 3 months after purchase. We recommend purchasing Support to receive all upgrades within a year. 

  • Evaluation License
    For evaluation purposes a developer license valid for a limited time is available. It is equivalent to the commercial development license for ULC Load, but restricts load and performance testing to 5 concurrent connections and one instance per evaluation key.
